Privacy Policy
Wobl · Party Games Offline — last updated 27 July 2026
Wobl collects nothing about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, no advertising, and no data of yours ever reaches us.
That short version is the whole policy. The rest of this page explains what the app does instead, because “we collect nothing” is easy to write and worth being specific about.
What stays on your phone
Everything the app remembers is stored locally on the device and never leaves it:
- your settings — language, theme, number of players, chosen decks, round length, which Mafia roles the table plays with;
- the shuffle bags that keep a card from repeating before the deck has gone round;
- a note of whether the one-time unlock has been purchased, so the app works offline;
- a random identifier the app generates on first launch, for example
wbl-3f2ab19c…. It is created on the device, it is not derived from anything about you or your phone, and its only job is to tell the purchase service that this install is the one that bought the unlock.
Anything you type into the app — a word for Who Am I, a secret for 20 Questions — is held in memory for that round and is not written anywhere. Deleting the app deletes all of the above with it.
What leaves your phone
The games themselves are fully offline: you can play the entire app in airplane mode. Two technical connections exist, and neither carries anything personal.
1. Purchases (Apple, and RevenueCat)
The one-time unlock is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see your name, email, Apple ID or card details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether this device owns the unlock. When you open the purchase screen or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:
- the random identifier described above;
- the purchase receipt Apple issues, and the fact that the purchase happened;
- standard technical details that come with any internet request — IP address, device model, operating system version, app version, country.
RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address or Apple ID, and we do not link that identifier to any person. If you never open the purchase screen, nothing is sent.
2. Content updates (Expo)
New decks and fixes are delivered as content updates rather than full app releases. On launch the app asks Expo’s update service whether a newer version of the app’s content exists. That request carries the technical details any HTTP request carries — IP address, platform, app and runtime version — and nothing else. No identifier the app created is sent with it. See Expo’s privacy policy.
What we never do
- No analytics or telemetry of any kind. There is no analytics library in the app — not Firebase, not Sentry, not anything else.
- No advertising, no ad identifiers, no App Tracking Transparency prompt, because there is nothing to track.
- No accounts, no sign-in, no email collection.
- No selling, renting or sharing of data. There is no data to sell.
- No microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location access. The app asks for none of them.
The app does read the phone’s motion sensor, and only while a round of Charades is on screen: that is how tilting the phone down scores a word. The readings are used on the spot and stored nowhere.
Children
Wobl is rated 12+ and is meant for a table of friends. It does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Your data, and removing it
Because nothing personal is collected, there is nothing to export or correct. To remove everything the app has stored, delete the app from your device. If you would like the purchase record held by RevenueCat removed, write to us via Support and we will ask them to delete it — note that this may prevent restoring the purchase later.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a future version of the app ever starts collecting something, that will be said here plainly, before it ships.
